THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Four suspects were arrested this week after a domestic‑disturbance call in Thousand Oaks led deputies to uncover narcotics, a concealed firearm and a large quantity of stolen mail and identification documents, authorities said Thursday.

Deputies responded on May 5 to a residence in the 1800 block of West Hillcrest Drive, where they contacted Shane Thaisamran and Brittney Sglav. According to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, Thaisamran was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and Sglav was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s Directed Enforcement Unit conducted a follow‑up investigation at the residence. During that operation, deputies contacted two additional suspects: Hue Lam, who attempted to flee, and Brandon Thaisamran, who was located inside the home.

Investigators said they developed probable cause for burglary and conspiracy charges after locating evidence linking the group to theft‑related activity. A vehicle associated with the suspects contained a concealed firearm, illegal narcotics, stolen mail, and credit and identification cards belonging to multiple victims, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Additional allegations included possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, unlawful firearm transfer, possession of ammunition by a prohibited person and multiple counts of identity theft.

All four suspects were taken into custody. The investigation remains ongoing.
