White House Issues Memorial Day Proclamation

The White House has issued a proclamation for Memorial Day, calling on Americans to observe the day as a time for prayer and remembrance for those who have given their lives in service to the United States. According to the proclamation, the President requests that Americans unite in prayer at 11:00 a.m. local time and observe the National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. local time.

The proclamation is issued annually, as requested by Congress, to honor the men and women who have died in service to the United States. The day is intended to be a time for Americans to come together and reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have given their lives in defense of the country.
