Piru Voter Guide: Everything to Know Before the June 2, 2026 Primary

With Election Day approaching on Tuesday, Piru voters are entering the final stretch of the June 2 primary. This guide provides a complete overview of where to vote, what is on the ballot, and who is running in every statewide and local legislative race that appears for Piru residents.

You can still register

California allows same‑day voter registration at any vote center. Voters who missed the May 18 deadline may still register and cast a ballot during the same visit.

• Election Day voting runs from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Identification requirements

Most voters do not need identification. ID is required only for first‑time voters who registered by mail without a verified ID number. Acceptable forms include a California driver’s license, California ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, student ID, tribal ID, or a government document showing the voter’s name and address. Mail voters must sign the return envelope.

No Party Preference voters

All candidates for every race on Piru’s ballot appear on the same ballot regardless of party registration. No crossover ballot request is required.

How the top‑two primary works

All candidates appear on one ballot. All voters vote on the same contests. The top two finishers advance to the November general election, even if both are from the same party. The Superintendent of Public Instruction contest is non‑partisan.

Lieutenant Governor

Secretary of State
