Piru Voters Participate in Key District Contests as Ventura County Updates Election Totals

Piru voters, who cast ballots through Ventura County’s centralized election system, contributed to updated totals in two major district contests: U.S. House District 24 and California Assembly District 37. Because Ventura County does not publish precinct‑level or community‑level results, Piru’s vote totals are included within broader district and county counts.

According to Ventura County Elections, countywide tabulation continues as ballots are processed in accordance with California’s canvass procedures. Early district‑level reporting shows Salud Carbajal leading Bob Smith in the U.S. House District 24 contest, based on results reported by a major national outlet. These results remain unofficial until certified by county and state officials.

In the California Assembly District 37 race, early reporting indicates Gregg Hart leading Sari Domingues, with totals reflecting ballots from both Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. As with all statewide and district contests, results will not be final until the official canvass concludes.

Statewide offices, including constitutional positions, are reported at the county level by the California Secretary of State. Ventura County’s contributions to those totals include ballots cast by Piru residents, though no sub‑county reporting is available.

Ventura County Elections will continue releasing updates throughout the canvass period. Certification is expected later this month under state election law.

Residents seeking the most accurate information are encouraged to review official Ventura County Elections updates and the California Secretary of State’s certified results once available.
