Light 3.5 Earthquake Recorded Northwest of Fillmore; No Damage Reported

A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was recorded northwest of Fillmore on Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake occurred at 19:21:36 UTC (12:21 p.m. PDT) and was centered approximately 15 kilometers (about 9 miles) northwest of Fillmore. The event originated at a depth of 24 kilometers, based on reviewed seismic data from the California Integrated Seismic Network.

USGS data indicates the quake was classified as a light event, with no reported injuries or structural damage. The agency’s “Did You Feel It?” system had not yet received significant public responses at the time of reporting. The earthquake is part of routine regional seismicity tracked by the Southern California Seismic Network, which monitors activity across Ventura County and surrounding areas.

No aftershocks or related seismic events have been confirmed. The USGS continues to list the event as reviewed and has made technical summaries and ShakeMap data available through its earthquake catalog.
