Memorial Day State Championships Bring Youth Baseball to Ventura County and Santa Clarita

The Memorial Day State Championships, one of the largest youth baseball events of the year in Southern California, will take place May 23–25, 2026, with games scheduled across Ventura County and the Santa Clarita Valley. The tournament is organized by USSSA and typically draws hundreds of teams from across the state.

Local fields in Camarillo, Simi Valley, Newbury Park, and Santa Clarita are among the host sites for this year’s event. Games are expected to run throughout the three‑day weekend, with divisions ranging from 6U to 14U depending on field assignments. USSSA notes that the tournament is designed as a multi‑site event to accommodate the large number of teams participating each year.

Families traveling to the area for the tournament can expect steady activity around local parks, especially during morning and early afternoon game blocks. Cities such as Camarillo and Simi Valley often host several age groups at once, while Santa Clarita’s Hart and Central Park complexes typically handle some of the larger brackets.

The event is fully open to the public, and schedules are released by USSSA as the tournament approaches. Local residents may see increased traffic near sports complexes, but no road closures are planned. Weather forecasts for the holiday weekend will be monitored by tournament officials, who adjust schedules as needed based on field conditions.

The Memorial Day State Championships have become a recurring fixture in the region’s youth sports calendar, bringing teams, families, and visitors to Ventura County and the Santa Clarita Valley each year.
