Simi Valley Schedules May 21 Budget Meeting; VCTC Plans Traffic-Calming Demo for May 27

The City of Simi Valley has scheduled a public budget meeting for May 21 as part of its annual review and adoption process. According to the city’s public meeting calendar, the session will include presentations from departments, opportunities for public comment, and discussion by city officials. The meeting is open to the community.

Later in the month, the Ventura County Transportation Commission will host a traffic-calming pop-up demonstration on May 27 at the intersection of Sycamore Drive and Cochran Street. VCTC uses temporary installations during these events to help the public experience potential roadway safety improvements before long-term decisions are made. The demonstration is designed to gather community feedback on possible street design changes.

Both events are open to the public and are part of ongoing local government and transportation planning efforts in Simi Valley.
