Cyclists Mark World MS Day With Coastal Ride Finish at Ventura Beach

VENTURA, Calif. — Hundreds of riders completed the Bike MS Los Angeles Coastal Challenge on Saturday, May 30, arriving at San Buenaventura State Beach for the final stretch of the two‑day fundraising event. The finish coincided with World MS Day, adding global awareness to a local show of support for people affected by multiple sclerosis.

Cyclists traveled the coastal route toward Ventura throughout the morning, greeted by volunteers, supporters, and event staff as they crossed the finish area. Participants included first‑time riders, returning teams, and individuals riding in honor of friends or family members living with MS.

Organizers emphasized that the event serves two purposes: raising money for MS research and increasing public understanding of the neurological condition. Riders described the finish in Ventura as both celebratory and reflective, noting the significance of completing the challenge on a day dedicated to MS awareness worldwide.

The Bike MS series is one of the National MS Society’s largest annual fundraising programs, with rides held across the country. The Ventura finish line has become a recurring endpoint for the Los Angeles Coastal Challenge, offering a scenic and accessible location for participants and supporters.

Saturday’s event concluded with closing remarks, team gatherings, and acknowledgments of top fundraisers. Organizers reported strong turnout and steady community engagement throughout the weekend.
